755nm - Energy of this wavelength penetrates the skin only to a superficial level. It targets the bulge of superficially embedded hair, making it ideal for the eyebrow and upper-lip areas. It has the highest rate of melanin absorption, which makes it most suitable for lighter skin types (I, II) and especially blonde/red colored hair. Thin and fine hair is targeted most efficiently.
810nm - Energy of this wavelength penetrates deeper under the skin's surface. It targets the bulge and bulb of moderately embedded hair, making it ideal for the arms, legs, cheeks and beard areas. It has a moderate rate of melanin absorption, which makes it suitable for all skin types.
1064nm - Energy of this wavelength penetrates deepest under the skin's surface. It targets the bulge and papilla of deeply embedded hair making it ideal for the scalp, armpits and pubic areas. It has the lowest rate of melanin absorption, which makes it extremely safe for darker skin types (IV, V, VI). Thick and coarse hair is targeted most efficiently.

It targets different structures of the hair (bulge, bulb and papilla) and evokes different levels of energy absorption by the melanin, thus allowing the user to treat a wide range of hair types, hair colour and also darker skin types using a single hand piece.

Safe and Effective

The Platinum Pro uses a unique gradual heating technology for delivering appropriate energy to different anatomical structures of hair at different depths. This gradual increase in the temperature of hair bulbs, papilla, and bulge up to 45°C ensures the denaturation of proteins.
This leads to the destruction of the capacity for new follicle formation, thus restraining the re-growth of hair. The heat absorbed by the chromophore (melanin) is enough to damage the target (hair bulb, bulge and germinal papilla) while allowing surrounding tissue to remain relatively untouched.
